Dentures
Removable dentures can replace one tooth, all your natural teeth, or any number of missing teeth in between. There are a number of different types of dentures we provide based on your needs.
By having both a dentist and prosthetist at our surgery, you will be provided with the best options about what teeth need to be saved for the purpose of maintaining your normal chewing functions.
Our dental prosthetist David McGuinness will be happy to give you all the advice you need in order to choose which option is best for you.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are used when one or more natural teeth remain in the upper or lower jaw. Not only does a partial denture fill in the spaces created by missing teeth, it prevents other teeth from changing position.
Full Dentures
Full dentures are made when all of the natural teeth are missing. It is fitted to replace the upper teeth, lower teeth, or both.
Over Dentures
An over-denture is fits over the top of the remaining teeth, or over tooth roots, or by attachment to dental implants.
Immediate Dentures
Immediate dentures are made to be inserted at the same appointment as the teeth are extracted so that you avoid going for a period without teeth.
