Frequently asked questions
I have private health insurance, am I covered for the procedures or treatments that I need?
Health insurers have business rules that determine what procedures and treatments you are insured for. You will not be automatically covered for all procedures and treatments. Your level of cover (and the cost of your premiums) will affect how much you will receive for your rebate. Your dentist has no control over your rebate! Private health insurance companies enjoy absolute control in setting their premiums and what health care services you will receive cover for.
You need to contact your private health insurer to determine if you are covered for the procedures and treatments you want and need.
Do you put people out for extractions?
Treatment under General Anaesthesia at a local private hospital can be arranged for complex procedures. Extraction under Intravenous (IV) sedation for anxious patients can be performed in our surgery. We also have Nitrous Oxide "happy gas" available to patients for simple extraction procedures if required.
What is your appointment policy?
Our appointments are scheduled exclusively for each patient. 24 hours notice is highly appreciated if you have to reschedule an appointment. If you are late, we may have to reschedule you so that other patients are not kept waiting, or we may perform only part of the procedure originally scheduled.
What payment methods do you take?
All treatments should be paid in full after each appointment. We accept payment through cash, credit, EFTPOS and HICAPS claims. The members of most health funds can make a direct claim through the HICAPS system.
Do you have any payment plans available?
We understand that the need for major dental care can sometimes place unexpected pressure on a household budget. To assist our patients with commencing the necessary treatment straight way, we also offer payment plans for treatment over $300 up to 6 months interest free through by ZipMoney for eligible patients. This is a secured and convenient way to pay for treatment.
To find out if you are eligible for a ZipMoney payment plan, please call on (02) 8294 2345 (8am - 8pm Mon - Fri and 9 - 6 Sat) or go online www.my.zipmoney.com.au
